A spokesperson for SSE said:
“While the footage looks dramatic, no one was injured and there was no damage to plant and equipment. Engineers are assessing the cause.
“It is important to make clear that the incident, which took place at an SSEN Transmission site, has had no impact on the development of the nearby Viking Wind Farm or the Shetland HVDC link, both of which are continuing construction and remain on course for operation later this year.”
