Recruitment Process

Our aim is to have the right people in the right place at the right time, so our recruitment process is designed to select the best people for the roles, and to identify those who are most likely to complete the programme successfully.

Our selection process involves an application form, on-line assessments and practical tests at one of our Depots to determine if you have the appropriate skills and abilities to be an SSE apprentice. Due to the large numbers of candidates sitting assessments we may hold assessment centres regionally. You might have to travel to participate, however our team will be on hand to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

If you’re successful in our assessments, the final stage will be a face to face interview with relevant business managers from one of the business areas which you are being considered for. Wherever possible, we try to arrange interviews at the office or site you have applied for.
