Keadby Wind Farm is located near Scunthorpe in England. The project has 34 turbines, making it England’s largest onshore wind farm.
Through our Keadby wind farm funds, we provide a total of around £340,000 per year to community projects in the North Axholme and wider North Lincolnshire area. Over the life of the fund, we expect to invest £8.5 million in local projects.
The funding is split into the two parts:
The SSE Keadby Wind Farm Community Fund
The fund offers £170,000 per year to projects within the North Axholme Ward.
The Sustainable Development Fund
The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) is in addition to our local community funds and provides a further £170, 000 per year to support strategic projects in the wider North Lincolnshire region. It is directed to projects that can achieve significant impacts in local communities.
